I am on my second set of BF Goodrich 315\70\17s. I run stock suspension only bilstein shocks and have never had rubbage. But if you are worried you can pick up some Timberen bump stops for the front and that should keep you from bottoming out and rubbing. Then you can lift when you are ready.

I have 5000 miles on a set of Toyo M/T 35x12.5x17 with no trouble. There do rub the control arm at full lock but I just don't turn the wheel all the way to lock

My 35's hit and I have 3 1/2" lift, It is more about the "offset" of your wheels. Mine stick out a lot, I think mine are a +offset.
