Someone answer ? about mygig lockpick

I want to order one tonight, but their web-site doesn't list my radio as one it works on. 2011 Dodge 2500 p/u and the radio says RHB (has nav and factory back up camera) in the lower right hand corner. I need someone who has put one on their 2011 to tell me it works, I'm just a little suspect since they have radio ID letters listed except mine. Below is what I copied off their web-site: READ THE LAST LINE, THATS WHATS BUGGING ME MINES NOT LISTED.

APPLICATIONS INCLUDE ALL
CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP
MYGIG RADIO CAPABLE VEHICLES
INCLUDING:

2007-11 WRANGLER, NITRO,
AVENGER, SEBRING

2008-11 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY OR DODGE CARAVAN , JEEP COMMANDER, CHEROKEE & LIBERTY, CHARGER, CHALLENGER, DAKOTA, DURANGO, ASPEN,
300
, PATRIOT, COMPASS
NOW
2010-11 DODGE JOURNEY with or w/o Nav

2010 DODGE RAM

ONE INTERFACE FOR ALL VEHICLES!!
AND MYGIG RADIOS INCLUDING:
(REN, RER, RBZ, RBH, REW)

I dont think it will work, cause the 2010 radios are different. Different nav, different user interface, different features.

Thanks Blake, I knew that deep down inside I just wanted one real bad and was hoping it would work. I'm sure once I get back from vacation they'll have one out for me...............

I've been digging into the 430n for the past few days because I spec'ed the 730n when I ordered my truck. The salesman dropped it because the 730n was not avail yet - to bad for me unless I was willing to wait until it (maybe) got into the pipeline - I wasn't - and none of this matters to you, I know. me.

But I did find that it was the same radio/nav that was in the 2010 Ram. It was also in the 09 Durango. Thats about all I know for certain, but if you do a search on the Dodge website for the 430n you get a ton of hits, including operating manuals, install manuals and other such cool stuff.

I'm not a huge Garman Nav fan but I can live with it. The Voice command of the radio looks cool. I just wish it worked the Nav as well. (the 730n will according to Dodge)

What are you longing for in the lockpick? I'm looking at it to turn on the rear camera while driving (so I can keep a eye on my hitch) and I hope to add the front and rear quarter cameras.

I also thought about adding a camera to the bottom of my trailer that would allow me to see the tires. **** - I know but I had one tire go flat a while back and I didn't even know it until a guy called me on the CB.

Stargeezer, my friend has a 2010 and it's different than mine, buttons are in different places and his isn't Garmin based.

Never tried the voice command on the radio didn't even know it did that, but it does work well on the phone with almost no problems.

I wanted the lockpick for the front camera, just to play around with and the ability to, like you check the hitch while pulling my trailer. I want to be able to program the destination on the GPS while moving, you can do that now if it's in your favorites or recently found items but no new address'. Not a big movie watcher but maybe on a long trip it may pass the time easier to listen and glance at a movie now and then.

sorry Blake

See...That's what I get for reading and not LOOKING!!! Oh well, I thought I knew something once before, 32 years ago - and I ended up married. AND A VERY WONDERFUL WIFE SHE IS!

Sounds like we are both in the same spot - Waiting on the truck to come, there are worse places to be, I guess.

The 730n is the older radio, it was the nav radio for the 2010 models. It was replaced by the 430n (Garmin based) nav.

If you look on page two there is a post there titled "FOOLING THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM". In that post a guy called Costal and they told him it would work. I have a 2010 with radio RER and it works great and was easy to install. I did not bother adding extra camers or enabling the camera to work while in drive. Have towed all of my stuff enough and have never had any problems and dont need to see back there. The main reason I got it was to enable the navigation while driving, the movie viewing was a bonus.

I just dont see the need to unlock the nav portion. You can still search for nearby POI's. And I always input my destination before I leave even If I dont use it till the last leg of the trip. It can be pulled right back up through recent destinations while moving.

Well, on the Garmin setup that is. I had a Kenwood deck in my 08 with Garmin, so Im used to it....

I really like how the EVIC gives you the nav info too....

I would much rather have the Garmin interface than the Harmon. The garmin is alot easier to enter in address information.

I have the REN with Lockpick in my truck so no navigation, but my wife's Avenger has the RER with Lockpick and she is always my copilot. She likes to find different places while we are driving.
My kid likes to watch movies in both vehicles.
