puddle lamps
puddle lamps
What's with the puddle lamps? When I come up on the truck and open the doors with the remote they will stay on forever. I have them set for 30sec.once I put the key without turning the engine over they go out in 15sec after a while of going in and out of truck they go back to on forever. So I had a flash done at dealer and now they go out in 15sec no matter what time setting.at least they don't stay on forever. But I would like to set them for at least 30sec
Don't feel bad. I haven't figured mine out either. Sometimes i think they are working on a photo cell and stay on until the sun comes up. One thing i have noticed, is that they are a tell tale if the truck is locked or not.

There are LED's and minimal draw for the battery. Wont hurt anything.
Mine stayed on for six weeks last time....

I do not have keyless entry, and they are not mentioned in owners manual. sometimes they go out when the dome light goes out, sometimes they stay on 10 minutes or so. I think if the doors stay open longer, or are opened and closed a few times like you are unloading stuff they stay on longer. I thought you could adjust it like you can the amount of time the headlights or radio stay on, but have not figured it out.
yup...but sucks if you are hunting...LOL. I know, you can make it so the horn doesn't sound when locking the truck.
Now the question is, how to take advantage of the situation and change them to green LED's and mount a feeder in the back of the truck????
