Looking at a 2010 DRW SLT model

I am in the market for another dually and really like the look of newer Rams. I found one for $20k with 183k and a new manual trans, tires and clutch (guy used it to pull a 3 car trailer all over the East coast) What should I be looking for with this truck as far as problem areas or topics of concern?

At that mileage I would be concerned about a number of things....Bushings, shocks, brakes, wheel bearings etc...

Does it have a new clutch? Is the motor making any noises? Is the rear end all in good shape as far as the gear and bearings?

Clutch is newish, motor sounds great. Has al the emissions stuff still in place. Diff is not grinding and feels pretty smooth...to the best of my knowledge.

Other than normal wear-and-tear items as mentioned above you should be fine. Sounds like a good deal to me. Since it's out of warranty, I'd definitely do the deletes if you can.

Thanks Happy. Just wanted to test the forum and see if anything pinged. Is the manual stronger than the auto and what makes the HO model as such? Bigger turbo?

I may be mistaken, but I don't think the H.O. models were available until 2011 and with auto only.

Thanks bro. Was just wondering what made it a "HO."

Just programming, 600 vs. 650 ft/lbs of torque. The stock clutch apparently couldn't handle more than 600, so in a strange twist of events (compared to earlier years) the auto was rated higher than the manual. Easily fixed with aftermarket parts though I hear.
