Bumper will run $292.00 plus tax , if I need the plastic air dam $82.00 plus tax think I can save that piece..Didn't push the bumper int any of the coolers, condenser or radiator $1000.00 deductible. 114lb Field dressed doe. Already in the freezer.

I promise pics will follow , Dented/bent/busted bumper off truck. Looks like condenser may be damaged. More money for repairs. Bumper removes fairly easy.

Ouch. It might not hurt so much if it wasn't a new truck!
I've gotten extremely lucky. I've taken out two this year and don't even have a scratch on the truck from it. One I got with the front bumper and I had one run into the side of the truck on Friday night. I still am amazed how that didn't tear something up...
Think positively, now you have a reason to upgrade bumpers!

That sucks... Hopefully no sheet metal damage at least.
Any problems or tricks in removing the front bumper and/or grill? I'm going to swap my chrome bumper for a painted one shortly and was planning on doing it myself. Grill looks easy to remove, but wasn't so sure about the procedure for the bumper.

4 bolts/nuts each side hold the bumper on. 1 each side needs removed from the top with grille out of the way. 18mm nuts. The 2 on each side 18mm nuts that go thru the frame rail and look like they will remove bumper wont because the captive bolts(tied together with a sheet metal strap) wont slide out of the hole because of the radiator. Not a problem to take off and replace. but I have been a Mechanic/Millwright/Stationary Engineer/Electrician.

I only removed the top screws and let it hinge forward and there was plenty of room to reach the nuts. I switched to a stubby 18mm wrench after loosening with a full size for leverage.

Thirty pound piece of truck tire casing into the grill on the interstate.
Back ordered grill $450. Dentless fender repair $100. Don't forget to order the grill seal.
Fortunately missed everything else. Through the windshield would have been a different story . . .
