Deer Damage

I just hit my first deer in the old girl tonight/this morning, whiped out the bumper, grill, turn signal, headlight. hit it at 60mph on the passenger side. my question is, can i use front end parts off of an older first gen? or does it have to be off a 92? (i'm talking about a bumper, grill, and turn signal off of a late 80's/early 90's gasser?)
Thanks!
Wheelo

Bumper will work.
grille, core support, headlight buckets and such are different for the 91.5 and up I/C models

I'd check out the Woodview ad top of this page, advertising billet grills and so on. I might anyhow as my old plastic grill is getting pretty whacked. Anyone used them before on their 1st Gen and can advise looks and cost?

the 91.5-93 Core supports are different, they have the spot for an intercooler.

I believe theres one in the classifieds, guys part out 1st gens all the time.
91-93 is its own grille and headlight buckets.

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why I put a grille guard on every pickup I buy. I hit a deer at 10:30pm in KY last winter, in the rain, at about 40mph around a Mt Eden/ Shelbyville curve. He crossed the road at the last minute, and "smack! thump, thump." Dented my bumper just a hair, and knocked out the side marker lamp. No other damage. Had I been bare fronted, it would have taken out the left fender, lights, bumper, grille, hood and possibly the battery.

We need longer deer season, higher limits, or something. They are getting out of hand.

If you replace ALL the parts from the core out to the front from an 80s truck it can be done. You will need to make mounts and holes for the intercooler and tranny cooler. If it is a gasser doner, you will also need to mod the rad support. I documented this with measurements in my Ramcharger blog in my sig. I used an 89 core and grill and put all the 91.5 junk in it.
