Post-deer. . . .
Fixed, by God, after a recent collision with a deer. Stock bumper replaced by an aftermarket unit. Cracked spring replaced by a pair of Skyjackers. Fog lamps replaced by Hella's. Split radiator replaced by a fab that's 22% larger. A/C condensor replaced by a larger aftermarket unit. Headlights and fascia replaced by stock parts.

Total cost to me, after insurance -- $97.85! Deer can hit me anytime! ;D

GP

The bumper is by Ranch Hand -- their "bullnose" model, constructed out of 10 gauge steel; retail is $649.

The tires are the redesigned Firestone Wilderness AT's, 255-85/16's, but they're fair larger than the other 255-85's I've seen. No rubbing between the rear rims.

If you want to hit a deer, drive Rt. 460 between Princeton, West Virginia and Blacksburg, Virginia at night -- straight up the New River Valley. It helps to use your high-beams to confuse the poor, dumb white-tails. (Mule deer and antelope out west are SO much smarter.)

GP

"God" Grant, body shop wonk in the Cole automotive group in Bluefield, West Virginia -- does miracles with sheet metal and pinstriping. Got his handle from his record in multiplayer "Unreal Tournament" online -- couldn't be touched, dealt death and destruction to all.
So there, Dan!
Would've loved to have had Rod's bumper, but the insurance people wouldn't touch it because of the currency fluctuation.

I'll be paying the difference, so they worked with me. Looks like it will be about $500.00 more than all the stock bumper parts, but it will be painted to match my red Sport and the diamondplate will be powder coated gloss black to match my bed rails and tool box.
