Nice deer! I like that kicker off the G2. Actually, I guess that's a double tine. I've been chasing one around in circles here lately, hope I can post his pic on here after I show him my .45-70. The bow just ain't gonna cut it, I don't believe. Our gun season starts right after Thanksgiving, you can kill 2 bucks and 10 does. With each weapon, actually. I've got to warm up my trigger finger.

I shot a Sika deer a couple weeks ago, I'll have to figure out how to post his pics.

I live on the Eastern shore of MD. Got plenty of deer. I went out in the rain yesterday to retrieve my climber, which I left hanging on a tree Monday, and did some scouting, there's some good buck sign on that farm. One deer I think has single handedly logged off a 2 acre patch of 10 year old pines. Rubbed almost every one to death. I've got a rifle stand across the field from the thicket, about 200 yards, I hope he shows up. Also found a great spot back in the woods on the other side of the farm, about 80 yards from one of my bow stands. Gonna move it there this weekend.

You may not have seen my post about fighting with that big deer last weekend. Its in this forum somewhere, you'll get a kick out of it. I almost did too, actually. Check it out.

Shot last second to the last day of the season. Offhand up hill about 400yards one shot straight though behind the shoulders went in broke one rib going in though the back half of the heart and out the other side and broke a rib going out. I highly doubt I will make another shot like that for awhile HA

I know what ya mean. We have new hunting laws this year in some counties that you may find interesting....it is now ILLEGAL to shoot a buck with less than a 13" spread if he has branched antlers. (meaning if he is a spike, he is legal to shoot.) In counties like this, You are legally allowed to kill 2 bucks- 1 "trophy" and 1 "cull" deer. Hopefully it works.

I like the sound of those rules!! I will be shooting my fill on does this year. I saw 3 last Sat, and my buddie saw 13 within 200 yards of each other. Bucks------they will be showing up here in the next couple of days. It seems that all of our Doe's bring the big boys in later on in the season. I have had from early Sept to the First of Jan to kill my limit. Slow start as of yet. Waiting on the Big boy this Saturday with the opening of Muzzle Loader Season. I will post a pic of the moose if I get him!!!! Good Luck to all!
