973604x4, I just started hunting in your area(Hearne TX) 2 yrs ago, about 1 mile frontage on the brazos. We've already taken a 13pt opening day, the problem is all the @$#$%%$#'in PIGS. I'll have to post pics of them! Hell, they'll run off the biggest bulls any day. When you do see a buck in that area, it's one tough sob.

Do the math: Too many pigs+AK47=fewer pigs.

I think that would go much higher than 130-135....my buck (the first post in the thread) gross scored 133.

Thanks 973604x4 for posting those! That is a fine buck you shot. We have had a place Northwest of Llano about 10 miles for the last 15 years. The deer are not quite as big as over your way but we do have a lot of turkey and hogs as well.
