Death Wobble

well I experianced death wobble at 80 mph on my 2010. Not cool when your passing a semi on a narrow montana bridge. The violent shaking didn't stop till I got down to 20 mph. Has anyone heard of this on the newer trucks?

You would think that they could get this issue under control. It costs way more to repair than to do it right the first time.

I'm going to buy the extended warrenty because of this problem alone.

I noticed my front drivers tire is starting to wear the outsides excessively like I could have a bad ball joint or something. Havent had a chance to put the truck on my hoist yet. Can't get the truck in till next thursday.

It doesn't have a steering stabilizer? Where do I order the right one?

THAT does seem to be the FIRST place to start.

Does anybody have a idea how many trucks are haveing this issue?

it has a stabilizer. I am talking about the brace between the frame horns and sector shaft.

Yep, you said brace the first time. I read brace and thought stabilizer - duh.... Hit me in the head three or four times and I'll get it.

Are there any photo series showing the brace? Like I said, I'm a little dense at times. I need pictures, or drawings with stick figures - I use crayons and sidewalk chalk

side note- 3rd Gen brace WILL NOT fit a 4th gen. steering box is much bigger and sector shaft diameter is larger
