No problem! Someone will find it useful. If you bought the truck from them they should do it for free.... Unless they try to sell you on the updated maps as the only way to update the radio. The maps are not free.

I know this, it cost me $149.00 last year to update my Nav. When I bought this truck there was a new road which had been opened for close to a year and was not on my Nav and I tried to get a free upgrade and was told no.I should have waited another year and got the newer Nav system that has free upgrades.

 

Which system has free upgrades? I'm in a 2014 2500HD with the 8.4AN/RA4 radio and I was told it was not free.

 

Go to the link above for the RER update. You will find the info in the first post to login to the guy's file share. He has your system in there too. Do a search on Jeep Garage for your system to see if there is any more technical data or info for your radio. It is probably one of the most helpful sites for the mygig and uconnect radios.

Sorry jadocs, after seeing your thread, I had to reread your reply and what Albertaguy said.

I don't think any radios come with free map updates. They all have to be purchased through navteq.
