Intercooler necessary on 14’?

Intercooler necessary on 14’?
asking for a friend. Doesn’t make sense on my 04’ since it’s all metal (i.e. no plastic), but what about on a 14’? Any real benefits performance wise over stock? Didn’t seem to be the case on my 04’.

same not sure what the question is..
if you have a turbo or super charger you have an intercooler..... or heat exchanger if you wish..
this can be removed.. a 14 computer will freak out though.. but why.. you will be running with super heated air so you performance
will tank.. HP and Torque will be dramatically affected.
So the simple answer is no you dont .. but Why would you do it..
