2" Leveling Kit Necessary for 315's

2" Leveling Kit Necessary for the 315's to clear? Should I install the kit before buying tires to make sure that I will not have the 'death wobble'? How much for the kit & where?

Id say get the tires and install a leveling kit later if you need it.

Not necessary, I've yet to experience rubbing with H2 wheels and 315's. My buddy went with 315's on stock wheels, and they did rub a little (different offset than H2 wheels?), so he put on a leveling kit, now they still rub and he got the death wobble as a added bonus.

The death wobble is from the 315 tires...not raising the frt end of the truck. Most off-road places will tell you to run a twin-steering stabilizer when going to 35 inch tires and above...
I have had the 315's on my truck, on stock rims, since last January for over 15k now have not experienced the death wobble yet...

315's are not the CAUSE of death wobble. Please search and read the hundreds of posts discussing this. They only MAY amplify an existing problem with alignment and other possible worn componets.

No lift and no problems with mine except a very slight rub at full lock. Not enough to worry about...

DONT BUY THE 315'S, THEY SLING ROCKS ALL OVER YOUR PAINT. ALSO IF YOU USE YOUR TRUCK OFFROAD THEY WILL NOT HOLD UP, I BELIEVE THESE TRUCKS ARE A LITTLE HEAVY FOR THESE CHEAPO TIRES.

Front end geometry changes caused by the leveling kit are the cause of the Death Wobble. The control arm angle changes, causing instabilty. It's not the 315's, it's the leveling kit. That's why folks who retained stock tires with their leveling kit got the wobble.

tcr, why do you think they will not hold up?

I have 25k on my 35" BFG MT's, driving hard, offroad a lot, and towing and they have held up great...hardley look used at all. Any size BFG AT will sling rocks...it is the tread design. MT's will not. A set of wide nerfs has been the best way to date for me to protect the side of the truck.

From the reading I've done here and elsewhere, rubbing is not a problem at all if you use the H2 rims or an aftermarket rim with different backspacing. On the stock alloys my 315's rub a bit at full lock (oddly enough only on the left side). Take a look at my gallery - I posted some pics of the exact spot the rubbing occurs...not a problem in my opinion. I love the tires.
