i did it 2015 dodge 2500

So I've gone through almost all 37 pages to find something that would suit my brain for info but no luck so I'm starting a new thread. Rolled in with a 2007.5 6.7l owed 17000 and traded straight acrossed for a 2015 crew cab long bed 6 speed. Owned it two days now. My other 6.7l 6spd had dpf and egr deletes and was a good pickup, but only got at max 13mpg hand calculated. I'm pretty sure I made a good decision, cause I at least now have a warranty but I'm just looking for some reasurence on this choice I made. I didn't really do my homework this time and just jumped in. Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks guys

From everything I have read on the newer trucks like the 2013.5 and above this is an excellent choice to buy. The ride and handling is more precise and the ride comfort is far superior than the 3rd gen that you had.

Hey thanks for reply. Owned it for a week now and it deffinatly has a smoother ride and more comfortable seats by far. Got a leveling kit to help the nose dive look. Has a bit more power in 4th and 5th then my last truck. As far as fuel mileage, so far hand calculated I'm averaging 14 and my old truck was at 13 so gained a mile. Happy so far

Three weeks ago I traded my 2007.5 SRW 3500 4x4 G56 for a 2015 3500 DRW 4x4 68RFE. Wow. this 2015 is awesome. lots of money but no regrets. Even with full deletes that 2007 never was right.

I bit the bullet this weekend. Traded a 2500 07.5 with deletes and air bags for a Bighorn 3500 to pull a fifth wheel with. I have put about 40 miles on it but am very happy with the ride and handling up to this point. It feel a lot more civilized than the 07.5.

I'd like to find out who would accept a straight across trade of a 8 year old truck for a new one. Must be using the wrong terminology. OR I'll trade my 07 straight across for a new '15 today, tomorrow and 2x on Sunday!

Congrats on the new truck!

I'm amazed any dealer will take a deleted truck in trade.
It's against federal law.

Agreed, when I traded mine the dealer was very forward about returning the truck to stock or the trade value would take a major hit. I sure wish I could have traded straight across.

Ya I know it sounds crazy but I owed 17000 on my 07.5 they paid it off and matched my payment sounds crazy I know. Lithia dodge Medford Oregon. I told them it was deleted. Never contacted me about it. But I'm friends with a mechanic there and he said they just sent it to whole sale I guess. Idk we may have just gotten stupid lucky. Have 5500 miles on it now. Runs good Handel's good tows good but I don't like the dead pedal thing, the fan will kick on as soon as I fire it up weather it's 100 degrees out or 30. Idk fuel mileage a little better tho. Only other thing is it dents way easy too.
