A question I would ask over in the 3rd Gen section is if it is possible to load delete software if Smarty unlocks the VIN. You would be able to do it yourself if it is possible and they unlock it.

One more question: Is the 5-6 wire sensors in the exhaust o2 sensors?

 

I believe what you are referring to is the front and rear exhaust temperature sensors for the DPF.

 

So there are exhaust gas temperature probes and sensors? Why both wouldn't they do the same thing? Well whatever they are what do I do with them I made my 100ohm sims for the probes.

 

Only Mads can unlock a vin locked tuner and they will ONLY send back out a newer non delete style tuner due to EPA rules. All you are doing is wasting time unless you have a delete capable tuner of some kind.

 

That's what they told me this morning when I called them.

 

Update: So the guy I was gonna get the smarty from turned out to be a little b@#$h so I made the sims for the egt probes the dpf full message went away but now it says service required see dealer now. Could that be because the egr is unplugged? Or is it because the codes its throwing: P200E, P2032, P0545, and P242C? Oh and I have reinstalled the edge I have. It wont clear those codes. Could that be because of the sims?
