Delete my 19 or leave it stock?
Figure I will put this here till there is a.fifth gen section. I have ordered a new 19 srw cc lb one ton with the aisin. Part of me wants to delete it right away but I also don't want to lose my warranty so I don't know what to do .I also asume there won't be any delete kits available immediately either. I presume there will be some programming differences. Coming from an 06 so I don't know much about delete kits and stuff. Is there anyone that sells complete kits, tune and all? How much do they run? Honestly ndont know that I would need any more power just a baseic tune to make it happy.

I agree in that performance has greatly increased in newer models, but at a cost...Deleting (and thus defeating) the engineering gains which made good, usable power and responsiveness run hand in hand with cleaner air also comes at a cost...I suggest taking Scotty's advice and drive it as is...While you're doing that, give it some honest thought and decide whether the additional money you'll spend will gain you the results you're after...In other words, what goals do you hope to attain, and what are you willing to give up for those goals...Personally my newly acquired 2009 is such an improvement over the power level and throttle response off my 2003, I would gain nothing by defeating what was installed at the factory...My money is better spent on accessories and other improvements...
It's your call, but it's not one you should make without some serious consideration and comparison......Ben

Ya. Ime 99.99%it will stay stock. Definitely not looking for more power. 400hp/1000ft/lb Torque is leaps and bounds ahead of my 06. Just was considering it for the sake of removing the emissions related crap. I wouldn't intend on recouping the cost in fuel savings but rather in keeping the engine clean inside.

I also upgraded form an 06 to a 17 and was going to delete but I couldn't be happier stock. It was like going from a 4cyl to a v8. Tows my 12k 5th wheel like a it's not there. Mike

My '04 has a Juice module that puts me close to a stock 6.7L, but there's no way I could match the power output of the newer engines w/o melting the engine. For me, emissions delete would be a given at the end of the warranty if not sooner. Absolutely hate messing w/ DEF on the company trucks. Never did see how 10mpg (never saw more than 17 normally) during a regen cycle that happens about 2x per tank could be considered "greener" than my '92 4x4 w/ zero emissions crap. Dad turned the pump up, replaced the turbo, smokes the tires when you want, AND will hit 24mpg on the interstate.
