CB Mount

Hi All,

I have a quick question. I have a 2010 Dodge Mega cab with the 20/40/20 bench seat in it. Has anyone mounted a CB in one of these trucks and can you share a photo?

Everyplace i try and mount it, it either bangs my knees, or i loose access to something, or i risk that it will get kicked.... etc.

any help will be appreciated...

I can tell you not to mount it too close to your Mini max my son mounted a VHF com too close and when he keyed the mike it would cause the Mini max to change power settings. H&S didn't have a solution so he moved the com.

Two years, no issues, no overheating, no problems period. I have my Texas star speaker mounted to the steering column projecting downward and its way louder than it ever needs to be.

If I need to pull my radio, its easy. Nothing to unscrew, just slip it out. The controls are literally at my fingertips.

Only thing I had to change about my truck, was setting the auto seat mover backer when the door opens setting to off.

This is a great idea Blake.... the only problem is that my wife is a foot shorter than me and like to drive my truck.....

So i know the radio would't stay put...

I was think about mounting it to the back of the console (in the back seat area)

Id try double stick velcro in the position that i have it, but velcro it to the console so that it wont move the the seat will. Worth a shot.

I just realized what you posted here. No way I would have changed that setup.

I would have grabbed the mic, took a deep breath, and gave a good ole Dukes of Hazzard YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAWWWWWWW!!!!!! until I hit HotDamn!

And that's exactly what was happening but.... He doesn't have head studs..yet! H&S also told me they had heard of guys using a microwave in the back seat to heat food and that causing it to jump power settings.
