Where would you mount a permanenet fuel gauge

I thank everone for there replies to my temporary fuel gauge question, and now have another question. Should I decide to get a permanent gauge, the question becomes where do you mount it? As you know the dash on the Dodge does not have a great deal of spare room! I see people mentioning stalks in reference to gauges, but am unsure what they are talking about? :P

There are several options.

You can buy a pillar mount gauge pod that attaches to the driver's sided windshield pillar, you can buy a Rod Pod from Wildcat Diesel that mounts to the dashboard, or I've seen people mount them in their ashtrays or the little cubby beside the radio.

There are several mounting options, just depends on your preference. Pillar pods,(full or partial),several options on dash pods, and one for the cubby hole.
Check the vendors on this sight, great folks to deal with, and they have lots of options for you.
my .02

Since I have Pyro, Boost & Trans on the A-Pillar, I mounted mine down at the bottom in front of the 4x4 shifter w/ one of the "donut mounts" from Genos... It's in a good location to glance down and see what the pressures are doing...

I have the full pillar gauge set-up with the tranny temp, EGT, and transmission temp. I added a fourth gauge pod to the pillar. You can see my gauge set-up in my photo album, page 8 in the Member Photos section. If you would like more info, feel free to PM or e-mail me.

I have a digital gauge down under the ash tray like Tony, works great. I have a switch on mine so I can turn it off & on so as I don't have it on at night to bother me.
