68rfe trans.
Hello,
I do not like the way the auto trans on my 2012 ctd goes about it's business.
It shifts at the most ridiculous times and does not seem to have a clue as to the proper gear for any given situation. And don't get me started on torque management.
Is any one using any add-on device to improve matters?
I am using a smarty and I think we have enough power, now I need to get it to the ground in an efficient manner.
Looking forward to your input.
Thanks,

The only real shift improver is found with the H&S overdrive programer. You can also do your own custom shift points for load and throttle position using the H&S MCC program.
The smarty programer has nothing currently available for transmission tuning.
I run the H&S overdrive programer and its night and day different. I used to shift my truck manually with the factory program, now I don't do any manual shifts. I found that the factory tune tended to have the engine lugging around.
