Well that is completely up to you. Wanna keep it stealth looking. Just turn it all off.

Me I like having the room in the engine bay and knowing all of that junk is gone!

From the looks of it, it was designed to be left plugged in at all times. Not to say it can be removed, but I dont know.

Besides, It give you digital parameters. I would want to leave it in place.

I agree,
If you need to be able to go back to stock for inspections then just turn it off. Deleting all of the EGR components will not only clean up the underhood but it will elimiate the chances of the EGR cooler cracking either externally or internally.

You can disconnect the Mini Maxx after you program the truck but you will loose the de-fueling functions as well as the gauges. The XRT Pro should be out in about a month and it is a stand alone tuner without the display and pyro.

I can start mine up without the H&S plugged in. I haven't drove mine yet that way, but I can't see why not it wouldn't work. Depends on what program you have loaded in the H&S. The newest tunes are better than the first version.

The first verison I keep getting a message for a second, "please take truck in for service" and the H&S did a code cleared.

Now, everything is happy. I put down a 373rwhp on hot at one of our dyno events. The truck hardly smokes even on kill. Still slower than my 2002 truck.

Very nice! Does it still have good manners when on kill and are you able to change the tune while driving? I'm interested in this, where is the best place to pick one up at?

Well I don't actually have one yet. I believe the site store here has them.
I've gotta find out if TX checks these trucks before I consider it. don't want to have to put my stock exhaust (DPF) back on every time I need an inspection.
I know they don't check my 96, just don't know about the newer trucks.
Or you could go straight to H&S.

I've been reading on their site. I would just unplug my egr etc. Then plug it back in for inspection.
