Im not 100% certain if its still an issue on the 2010's or if this is the eaxact issue but im guessing it might be if they are sellign the kits.
Perhaps someone else who knwos with certainty can chime in?
This is correct. It also allows for cooler EGT's, not a drastic amount but some, and a heck of a lot cleaner engine bay.

I also recommed doing the Throttle valve delete if doing the full EGR and Cooler delete.

if i was not getting a tuner i would get one with bunges so i could hook the existing ones up correct?

thanks
If you are going to get the H&S or Smarty (when available) there is no needs for bungs. The bungs was for the older style deletes (BADP, Edge etc) The new programmers you just use your favorite exhaust with no bungs, tape up the pigtails, and away you go.

Have you seen my tutorial on deleting the 6.7?

I have not seen it no...
So let me know this straight should i just delete the egr and leave the cooler??
And what about the throttle valve, what would that do and where is it located? Do they sale delete kits for that?

By taping up the pigtails you mean the oxygen and o2 senor lines going back to exhaust? cant i just unhook them from where they attach up by the motor?

I copied it over from the 3rd gen section and stickied it for yall.

The hard ware deletes will be the same with the exception of the Cooler delete, it changed in 09 for the 09 and 10 models. Make sure you order whichever one you need. I am assuming that the 11 model will be the same as the 10.

The throttle valve delete is explained in the tutorial. So is the pigtails, but yes, basically you just unplug the sensors, tape up the pigtail really good and secure it to the frame. If you prefer, there are dummy plugs available for use instead of taping them up.

That is a really great write up. My question i guess is i read somewhere where you can pull the cover off the throttle valve and pull that white gear inside. Would that do the delete or not? I would not want that thing closing i guess. I would rather/ feel better if it was completely removed but not sure if that could be done.

So your thinking that the 11 and 10 are the same. They look the same. Just wondering if the kits from h&S would work on the 11. I will wait a bit longer i think because i will need a tuner to clear the codes anyway.

You could remove the servo gear and that would disable it, but I have found for 75 bucks the TVD is not bad, and would allow you to keep the stock equipment intact in the event it has to be reinstalled.

Just checked out H&S site. They just changed the egr delete kit so it says 09-11. So its still all the same.

I guess now i will just wait on the tuner and then buy this delete kit.

No word yet, but hopefully soon.

Its kinda like with the 3rd gen 6.7's seems like the wait was forever, but when released, the wait was well worth it.

H&S released the tuning for the 2011's yesterday and a few of my customers have already loaded it into their Mini Maxx's. Their trucks are running great now.

Thats exactly what I did, copious amount of black tape and zip tied it out of the way.

could somebody tell me if the h&s mini plugs into the ODBII port?? I would like a programmer that plugs in there. I know the smarty jr will and i might just wait for that to come out but i was wondering about the H&S. I know its about $300 more than the smarty too..

Ok I got my answer YES H&S mini tuner is ODBII plug... My question is this I was reading about the mini and it has the option to turn off the egr valve without Removing any parts. Would it be better just to delete everything or just get the tuner and turn it off??? Please let me know so i can make my purchase I am guessing for only 150 more just get the deletes huh????
