Greasing Front Drive Shaft

Perhaps Dodge has done something right and actually changed the 4WD set up on the 2014 models to what it used to be with an axle disconnect such that the front driveshaft can be turned without jacking trhe vehicle. However, if that was the case, they might not need the Cardan joint and any lubrication for it. My 2012 Ram has to have one of the front wheels off the ground to turn the drive shaft to get access to greasing. I purchased a grease gun capable of being operated with one hand and fitted it with a hose and injection needle as shown in the photo. I can now use one hand to hold the needle in the grease fitting and operate the gun with the other hand. This works well for me to grease this joint and I will no longer return to the dealer to get this job done.

Good deal,
I did confirm on my 2014 that the grease point is there for whatever reason.
I purchased a similar grease gun with an 18" extention hose. I plan on greasing it when I conduct my first oil change.
