android torque obd 2 app

Has anyone used this app on a 4th gen ram with the cummins. It looks like it gives most of the information as the programers without reprogramming want to add digital gauges without having the dealer think I have a programmer installed.

I don't understand why the manufactures don't offer a built in tuner. Wouldn't be much different than tow/haul mode. I think BMW or one of those over seas companies actually has a car that has a performance mode, eco mode and standard mode. If we could come up with a system like that we would be very wealthy individuals. It would definitely clean up the looks of the inside of the truck.

finally received my Bluetooth obd 2 adapter. This program seems to function well. assuming I have imputed the correct parameters it fairly accurate, except the avg/mpg claimed I was getting 25 mpg, would be nice. I will try to get some screen shots and maybe some live video of the system operating. for the cost pretty reasonable. Also give EGT's, not sure what sensor sends that info, but seems close to what I read the temps should be on a stock truck.

looks great! I wonder why the torque gauge has low numbers though?

you can adjust the minimums and maximums. I hadn't played with it enough to raise all of the values. So far it seems to be extremely accurate. I am most curious about what sensor it is using to get EGT's. That way I know if it is pre or post turbo. The only sensors I could see it using is something in the dpf, egr or an o2 sensor on the exhaust. Seems to run around 500 to 600 degrees F.

I haven't tried it on a 4th gen Ram, but I've been using the app with a cheap ELM327 bluetooth adapter, I got on eBay, for years now. It works great!!
