Thinking of getting a Sterling Bullet
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about getting a Sterling Bullet 5500 as the dealer that has them is advertising special pricing on all remaining Sterlings... They are a Western Star/Freightliner dealer as well so I'm not too concerned about warranty should the need arise... They have a truck configured just the way I'd order it... Or would I be better off going with a Dodge Ram 5500? If they would match the price I can't see any reason not to... Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I like mine so far...Feel free to join the Sterling collectors club.. it's not everyday that you can buy a collectors item.. Besides who says Dodge will be there forever in this current economic mess.. Strange times we live in now..

The Rams are also going to be a "collectors item" soon as well.
When Chrysler goes under, that will be the end of the Rams ... and most likely the warranties.
We are toast.

So in that case I'd be better off with the Sterling, at least I can get warranty and such at Freightliner and/or Western Star dealerships...

I would double check that you can get warranty @ F/L & W/S dealers. I work for a dual dealer, f/l & w/s. Since were not a sterling dealer, we cant work on it. Not sure what deal f/l has made when all the sterling dealers go **** up, but @ the moment has to go back to a sterling dealer.

How bout getting the old dully back and selling the wife?
I don't know what to tell ya about the new 4500+ trucks. I never thought a year ago when I bought my 4500, that Chrysler would be on the verge of going bye bye a year later.

Sterling isn't part of Chrysler . That's like saying the government would cover the warranty on a Mazda pickup if Ford went bankrupt .
