Sterling Bullet

Anyone seen of these rebadged Ram Chassis trucks. I saw one on the road today and thought the grill looked pretty cool.

I just saw one up close Saturday. A local couple that came down to our TDR drag race meet, just won a brand new 4500 Sterling Bullet cab/chassis truck. They entered the "Nothing Stops the Bullet Sweepstakes" and their entry was selected randomly from approximately 3,500 submissions. I just thought that was so cool! Anyway, the truck was a 2008 Inferno Red 4x4 Quad Cab Bullet with everything from a navigation system to a satellite radio. Very nice truck, especially with the 19.5s.

I just spotted one over the weekend so they must have arrived recently. Looked pretty nice.

Have a good one.

So if it is just a rebadged Dodge Ram, what's the point? Is there a price difference? Different options? I don't get it...

Broadens the market. Lots of Sterling dealers who actually know how to treat a commercial customer as opposed to the run-of-the-mill Dodge dealers who don't . Also, think of all those Ford bigots who'd never be caught dead driving a Dodge, but a Sterling on the other hand....

Yeah, went up to the West Virginia State Fair this past weekend...they had a 2008 Sterling Bullet 4500...quad cab, navigation system, long bed, spray in bedliner, gooseneck already installed, 4x4, leather seats, Aisin tranny...EVERYTHING...even the de-rated 6.7 which doesn't make any sense to me...all for the low low price of $60,000...oh yeah, came with a 26,000GVWR...I would definitely own one, but not with that sticker price...a man could buy a 3500 and just put some air bags on it and have a NOT de-rated engine and work out in front of the thing...sad really, is the Aisin really that much better than the 68RFE?

i've seen Bullet 4500's for as low as mid-upper $30,000's.
all depends on how decked out you want it.

Yeah, but just the other day, I was offered the SAME truck in a 3500 (minus gooseneck, de-rated engine and Aisin) for $37,500...I could put airbags on her for $350-500 bucks, gooseneck in the bed for $300, and heck, even put an upgraded torque converter and valve bodies on it for rougly $2,000 and have MORE truck?

i also think the sterling dealer in Grand Rapids MI is open, get this, 24 hrs a day. so if you are plowing at 2 am and have issues you have a place to go.
