Work Trucks

Any of you use your trucks for work?
How do you have your trucks set up?
Seems like most of the trucks on this
site are Basically for personal use , all
flash.

When I bought mine it was a work truck. I had a Swiss cab high shell on the back with all of my tools in the back and the under seat storage with straps and such for the trailer. I had my laptop on the center console with the GPS on the dash, plugged into the center console. Now that I no longer have my company it is my weekend driver / play toy.

I use mine for work purposes every now and then when all of the other company trucks are being used. When I do use it, it's usually hauling rolls of geosynthetics, geotextiles and geogrids which are used for road contruction, bank retension, erosion control and so on. And about once, maybe twice a month I load up my slide-in camper and hook up to a trailer full of sand toys. But make no mistake about it....... My truck is a workhorse. It has way more go, than "flash". But I suppose you're right about the fact that it is basicly a personal used vehicle..........................

My wife and I do traveling medical contracts throughout the western USA. Our truck hauls our 38' fiver all over the place. We live in it fulltime. Then after it gets our "house" to the contract, I use it to drive back and forth to work. I guess that would be a work truck??

W/ fuel prices, my truck has become a 100% work truck. I take the fiancee's Acura out the rest of the time.

I have a big Weatherguard toolbox w/ my "tools I can't bear to be separated from" and everything else I pull behind me in a 16' enclosed tool trailer.

All work and sometimes if I'm lucky, play. I tow heavy bank equipment from ATMs to huge cash vaults/safes 95% of the time.

every day 10 thousand miles in the last three months. i have a navi deck with blue tooth(must have the BT) and a very expensive radar detector. saved me a few times.

my rack will break down to just a headache rack when i need to haul big loads or the dirt bikes/ quads.
