Ahh them were the good ol' days!! USA1 and King Kong were my favorites. I used to watch them all the time, but it doesn't interest me much anymore.

I thought they were track pace cars? Or track safety vehicles of some flavor.

Got rid of that stupid 76 sign real well.
It always amazed me how they put those little barriers around for safety on a truck that will drive over buildings.

My dad tells me stories of Big Foot (diesel truck) and Bear Foot (gasser) when he says the were real trucks.

When they lined up for a drag, Bear Foot always won. But when they would hook up to each other, well you get the picture. Big Foot would always go around the track with bear foot in tow.

Maybe I got them mixed up. All I know is that all my uncles were telling the same story at Memorial Day.

I saw Bigfoot in the Houston Astrodome in the 70's at the tractor pulls. It was just after "Take this Job and Shove It" came out. Bob was still pretty ticked over the damage they did to his truck. My mom got us press passes and we shot pictures from the floor of the dome.

The truck was all metal and had a 429/460. May still have pictures.
