window controls

passenger window controls not working. It seems like window lock switch faulty. Can this switch be replaced or do I have to replace drivers control panel. 03 ram quad cab

There have been several instances of people finding broken wires in the harness where it passes through the door. There have also been reports of solder connections on the switch itself broken.

Red face Window lock fault

Here is what I did on our '03. This is ONLY good if you do not want the window lock feature to work. Pop out your control panel on drivers door. Place a jumper wire between the yellow wire on the small connector plug to the tan wire on the big plug. This will simply bypass the lock deal. I used the 3M snap connectors, that way you don't have to cut or solder. Remember your window lock feature will not work. This will not effect anything else. My wife and I very rarely use AC, and I got tired of running the window up and down to her specs. This makes her good to go!

My truck (2005 Quad) had the drivers side rear door speaker and door lock not working and the rear passenger side door lock not working. All to broken harness wires between the body and the door.

Smile Window jumper

I didn't have any other problems other than the window. I could shake or move the panel in my hand and have it fail. Didn't want to fool with connections or switch. kardiak55, for future info, what door jam to body location did you find your wiring issue?
