window controls

anyone know a way to test the drivers side window controls to make sure they are the problem? I posted a while ago about all the passenger window controls not working, and thought it might be the drivers side console. I have taken it apart, and unplugged it, in hopes it might start working again, but to no avail. I dont want to buy a knew console and find out its not the problem, and I also dont want to take it to dodge, they might replace my engine on accident and stick me with the bill.

It common for them to go out. Its usually the drivers. You can't really take them apart and fix anything either, but I've got them to start back working sometimes playing with the plugs.

I had a similar problem and purchased the drivers module and the problem was still there. I then checked wires using the diagram in the repair manual and found a bad wire in my rear door. Cable in the rubber boot between body and dorr and broken. Repaired wire and have not had any issue since then.

Once I found the bad cable by meter it was very easy to fix the problem. I think it may have been just as easy to look at the cables as the bad wire was almost completly seperated. It may be worth looking inside each of the rubber boots to see if there are any bad wires before spending the coin? I spent the money 1st and it was not needed. At the time it seemed like the easiest step to trouble shoot the problem.

Good Luck..
