I had other issues with the master power window controler... (would do everything except lower my passenger rear window.)

It's a bad switch, everyone I spoke with told me bad switches were common on the dodges and to just replace the entire module...

I believe $180 from Dodge... I just don't roll the rear windows down right now... It's warming up so I'll probably fork over the cash.

I started to take it apart to see if I could see where the switch was broken, but to prevent breaking it worse I just put it back together and will wait. Once I get a new one, I'll take a crack at it and see if I can fix it... If so then I'll have a back up... just don't want to risk being without completely.

Good Luck

thanks. my only thing is, all the windows work perfectly from my contollers. its just the individual ones on all the other doors dont work. so is that still the entire drivers side module being bad?

My dads 03 did the same thing. I popped the switch out and they would work, but when I snapped it back in they would quit. Finally they just started working again.

yeah, i am gonna try popping them out. it really seems like it is something related to the lockout switch.

With most I've heard about, and mine personally, it is the window lockout switch which is integral to the whole driver's door switch module. You 'could' jump the two wires for that particular switch which is a cheap fix but you loose the capability of the lockout switch. You could wire in your own switch. All it does is supply power to the other door's window switches. Which specific wires on the '03 isn't right handy now or I'd share. Maybe tonight.

Oh, when I had my switch module out, a little percussion maintenance and the little booger worked for 4 months before failing again.
Morning beverage time, then work.

I have this same problem on my 2003 2500 quad diesel. Drive side master switch works on all 4 windows. Individual door switches do not work.
I think ill try the jumping of the lock out switch for a test.
If it works, im breaking out the soldering iron.
Honestly if my buddy was not whining so much about it id ignore it. :d

I popped the control off the driver door yesterday. took it apart, fyi you have to remove all the switch covers to get down to the circute board. The lock out switch cover pops off, and its a crappy design for sure. any ways
scratched the contacts a little for the lock out switch and it works. Problem fixed. so guess the lock out switch does provide power to all the other doors.

How did you get the switch covers off? just pry them off with a screw driver? is there anything I would need to be carefull with or that could cause irreversable harm?

Yeah, just pry them off with a screw driver, then there is screws in the bottom and you'll have to pry the housing apart then you should be down to the circuit board, if i remember right.

My truck just started doing this, this past weekend. I was going to start a new thread asking advice and decided to do a search first, Lo & Behold, here is the exact problem I am having.

I will check all the wires in the rubber boots between the door jams first, then I will pop out the driver's door module and check the lockout switch. I have never used the lockout switch, but maybe could have bumped it while cleaning.

My truck only has 18k+ on the odo, and very rarely do I have passengers, so I find it odd I would have broken wires, but I will check tonight when I get off work.

Thanks for the comments, great site! Jess

Mines doing the same.
I was told you need to take the door panel apart first and work on it from the back... Are you saying I can just open the door on the truck and pop the covers apart and then work on it or replace the switch, with out any tear down of the door? If it is that easy I'm going to go out now and play with it.
I have been putting it off because I did not want to pull the door panel off....

I also was told just pop the contoller out with a screwdriver. I could not without causing marks on the plastic and removed the door panels. They are very easy to remove and the panel and switch still looks like new.

Maybe if I had some of those fancy plastic tools for trim/moldings I may have tried a little harder.
