yeah, you're probably right, I was going from memory.. probably closer to 2k..

my computer tells me I'm averaging about 20-21 in mixed driving...

I hand calculated this 26-27 figure on a recent trip to disneyland and I-10 is fairly flat for most of it, except thru the cali mountain area, but it's not too bad..

 

My overhead Lie-O-Meter also tells me I get 19-20.5 mixed (mostly city) but when I get out the paper & pencil it drops to about 16-17.

The overheads are notoriously optimistic. If I hit the reset button at the top of a long downhill grade like Donner Summit I can get it to fib up to 27-28 MPG. Good for chuckles but reality comes back at the next fill up.....

 

ok, I stand corrected.. I edited my original post, and have a 3.73 rearend according to my delivery sheet. For some reason 4.10 was in my head.

I just measured my RPM's on my drive home.

45mph - 1400rpm
55mph - 1550rpm
60mph - 1700rpm
65mph - 1800rpm
70mph - 1950rpm

so my rpm's were right, my rear end I was wrong..
