What mileage to expect on 3500 2wd with 3.73

looking at a buying a 06 3500 2wd single cab with 48re and 3.73 just wondering what mileage i can expect. I drive 90% highway 65-70 mph tops. The wife and i are looking for another truck and found this truck with low low miles and want to know how much better it mpg it would get than the 06 in my signature.

Any feedback would be great and apreciated

I got between 16 and 20 driving the way i like to (before the Juice). Granted miine is a 4x4 so yours should be better. If i baby it and keep the rpms below 2k i can push 22 - 23.

does not sound two bad figured it would be more than my 4x4 but did not know if the DRW would kill mpg that much. Well sounds good keep the feed back coming

I'm guessing that the extra wind drag and rolling resistance of the DRW would pretty much match the MPG loss of your current 4X4......probably a wash as far as fuel mileage, but better towing stability and safety margin with the dually.

I'm 3.73 in the rear, and at 65mph, I'm getting 26/27 mpg.. engine's turning right around 1800rpms.

at 60mph, I'm pushing 30mpg.

You gotta special truck there!

Best I've ever gotten with my 6 speed, 3:73 axle 4X4 truck is 22 MPG @ 60 MPH driving with an egg between my foot and the pedal...flat land, no wind in either direction, hand calculated over about 1000 miles.

yeah, most diesel guys told me to expect 18-22... I'm surprised it gets such good milage... I love only filling every two weeks, whereas in my old 4.7 1500 gasser, I'd barely be able to make it 7 days between fills.

If that's the case, then with 4.10's and stock tires you should be at 2k rpm. 1800 rpm would put you at 60.
