Valve stem extenders for DRW
Valve stem extenders for DRW
Does anyone have the brand name and part number of tire valve stem extenders for a DRW 3500 Quad Cab? I have been to an RV dealer and they have a limited variety but I'm not sure which ones would work. I'd hate to keep pulling off and putting back on those plastic wheel cover just to air the tires.
If you have them on yours, how did you position the valve stems to put the extenders on? I had to pull my rear wheels off to mount my mid flaps and I noticed the factory mounted the tires with the valve stems facing each other. When I put the tires back on I put them 180 degrees out.

Its been awhile since I had them so I can't help you with the brand, but a word of caution. I had them on my 01 dually one of the clips came loose and wore on the inside tire putting a hole in it. I found the tire was flat one day when washing the truck. the extensions never went back on.
rather than going with extentions , you might be happier going to a tire shop and having long steel stems installed, i had them on my previous 2 duallys and found them to be better than any extension, plastic or steel, have them put on all your tires including the spare if you rotate it in, if your tires are getting old then consider doing it when you purchase your next set of tires, you wont be sorry
I tried the Master valve extenders (Braided lines), don't waste your money. I finally went with Tire-Man

The are preformed steel valve stems. The only bad thing is in order to rotate the tires, you have to dismount them. However, the ease of using these valve stems over the alternative I feel it's worth it.
