Re:Dual wheel valve extenders
If you go off-road, you risk clipping them off -- and whatever damage that may do to your valves, 40 miles from nowhere. I've seen metal ones get mutilated by brush. Better to go the other direction, IMO, and find an appropriate tire gauge and extended chuck.

GP
Re:Dual wheel valve extenders
I have the stainless steel valve extenders from camping world. Get steel valve stems before putting them on. I have them both pulled thru on the outer tire and can check the air easily w/out removing anything. I'll take a pic later and post it...

Tony
Re:Dual wheel valve extenders
Truck drivers are really familiar with the term cats eye. One valve fills both with flexible hoses going to the valve stem. Les Schwab or some auto parts stores or tire stores will carry not a solid extentions but it is braided stainless steel which connects to the outside hub. Being that they are flexible there is less chance of snapping them off. I have had great success with these. The cost is about $100 a set. Good luck!
