Need a valve stem kit for DRW so I can fill & check

Took the truck in to the dealer to fix the white smoke on start up and to see if they could extend the valve stems or what ever they have to to do so I can check and add air to the rear wheels since the stems r on the inside.

Dealer said they have nothing and cant get anything so are there any kits out there to fix my problem?

yes there are and they will bolt to the floater axles bolts and if you spend a little extra you can get the one with a gauge on it.

The problem with those are that if one tire gets a leak both will go flat.
Just buy the adapter for your compressor so you can fill your tires. I find it easier to just pull one wheel off the truck to adjust the pressures. My hand won't fit in the window easily.

They are made by airplus. Here is a link

http://www.genosgarage.com/products.asp?dept=82

They are not to join the 2 tires, as stated before that is not wise, it is only to bring the valve stems to the outside for access without removing the wheel.

I was thinking I'd get some of those, but I want to get some metal valve stems first.

Someone also makes a U shaped valve stem to make things easier, but that would make it tough to rotate tires.

genos sells a set for the inner tire and a set for the outer tire. the come off just like a cap so they are not hard to move from tire to tire when rotating.....the outer tire is a u shape.

look up dual dynamics, crossfire. ran them on my big trucks and now on the dualy. excellent. some les schwab have them but you have to tell them what psi you want or they will cheerfully sell you 100psi set as they don't know what they are doing(suprise)

mikeyb has the best idea. just use the steel valve stems the others mentioned will eventually cause a low tire failure on our 06's where we change pressure depending on load we find a tool carried by napa that is a combo rubber mallet and a pry bar specifically for the removal of the hub cap is very helpful
