Does the "AE" include the new pitman arm or is that a separate #.

Bob,
If you have some information about the difference in those pitman arms and what the different part numbers are would you mind sharing the information? The part number I gave for that 08 pitman arm was given to me by the part dept at the local Dodge dealer and they said it was compatible with the new steering kit. When in 08 did the pitman arms change and what are the different part numbers? Are they both compatible with the new steering kit or not?
Jay

Can someone just post the correct OEM part numbers for the parts needed that are compatible with each other instead of having to look at 15 or 20 different threads that all have seperate pieces of information.
This is the information that I got from my dealership regarding the new steering kit and all the compatible parts. If you have something different please update this-
Steering kit--52122362AE(it was 5212236AB but was changed)
Steering stabilizer--52122370AA
Pitman arm--68039930AA

So if you have an older (like 2004) do you need the new pitman arm or not? If you do not need the pitman arm you could use the AB version?

It is my understanding that if you use the new steering kit it is recommended that you use the new pitman arm. You have to use the new steering stablizer. I also understand that the steering kit parts did not change just the part number(because they changed vendors). For some reason using the new part number will also cost more even though the parts included are the same. This is what I was told by the parts manager and I believe him(we have done business for a lot of years and his info always seems correct). He said 3000 were on nation wide back order and 700 were released the first of last week. There is no indication of when the others will be manufactured or shipped.

Awesome thread. It answers many questions about the handling of my truck. I am happy to report that mine is sitting at the dealership right now awaiting replacement parts. Hope to get it back tomorrow afternoon.
