Track Bar Issue
Track Bar Issue
I recently took the suspension lift off of my 06. It used a drop track bar bracket to keep everything happy. Well after a few weeks of driving the truck around a noticed a metallic clicking sound coming from under the truck. I got under to look and discovered with the weight off the front suspension I can shake the track bar a little, it's definately the source of the sound.
It seems like the bushing on the drivers side mount, where the bar mounts to the frame that it's loose. I've tried tightening it but it didn't help any. Is that bushing replaceable? It seems like the hole going through the track bar bushing on that end has become wallowed out, the bolt is too small. I've looked around and not found anything. All I did find was this build up plate from Solid Steel Industries, anyone try it?

I had the exact same issue. I installed the "ultimate track bar hardware" kit and zero deflection offset bushings from Lazarsmith and it cured it.

Well mine were not part of a kit at the time. He had not come out with the "Ultimate track bar hardware" yet. I started with the zero deflection offset bushings first but then later still had a "popping" sound. This went on for a few months until I finally bought the other part of the kit after he came out with them. It cured it for sure. Front end and track bar is all tight now.
