Track Bar Advice needed

Hi Everyone - no emergencies this time, the truck is at home... but approaching 200,000 miles, I just replaced a ball joint and the track bar is a little loose.

It has been very, very disappointing to find how "unrebuildable" the front ends are on these trucks. Mine's a 98 ISB NV4500 4X4... Anyways, I need advice on a track bar. No way in HELL am I paying $340 to replace the factory piece which will be bad again. I've heard a little about the DT trackbar - can any of you recommend this, or others? Cost isn't a huge problem - I just want to go with something more stout than what's under there.

Please advise if you have a second...

thanks in advance,
-'geek
I used the Lukes Link. Bout $79 for the link and the bushing. It's rebuildable and adjustable too.
I also used the Lukes LInk. You can talk to Luke on the phone. He guarantees satisfaction. I have had great luck with it. But, while it is definetly a job a home mechanic can do, it is not quite as easy as described in his literature to install.

I had to wrestle with it a bit, but once it's on, it definetly does what he says it will.

Good luck

gary

Like "dieseldude4X4", I also have a "Luke's Link" on
my 96' Dodge CTD and am VERY happy with it!
It really helped tighten up the loose feel of the
track bar.

-------
John_P
