towing and weight distribution hitch

just traided up to a i 3500 ho srw short bed 4x4 quad cab from a 2002 1500. i tow an airstream which weighs a max of 8k loaded. i always used a equalizer hitch and sway control with the 1500. should i do the same with the 3500?i also need 2" more of drop on my ez shank--any ideas where to get one. thanks----

I bumper pull about ~ 9K trailer behind me (20') long with no WD hitch and it pulls fine, no sway issues or anything. And I have a 3500 SRW SWB. It wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it's necessary.

nope, you shouldn't need it. i tow about the same amount of weight with mine and it hardly sets it down in the rear. haven't had any issues at all.
