Tire Pictures

In a previous thread I mentioned that I am wanting to put 20" wheels on my truck. A friend of mine has the same truck and he put 20" wheels on his and then put a lower profile tire on so that the speedo would not be off. It looks ok, but I think it would look better with a taller tire. I've picked my wheel and maybe the tire. I was just wondering if anyone has pics of their Dodge 2 wheel drive truck with 20" wheels without a low profile tire? Pics of 2006 mega cab 2wd would be even better.

This may not be of much help, but here goes. I have a 2004 3500 2 wd dually. I just put on 22.5 Alcoas with 255 70R 22.5 Hankook tires. The only suspension mod was a 2 inch leveling kit. The kit came from Daystar and I know they don't make one for a 2 wd, only a 4 wd. The comapny I used, American Force Wheel Co in Miami, Fl uses the leveling kit for a 4wd and it works perfectly. In fact, I would say that I got a little more than 2 inches out of it. I live in Jacksonville, Fl and drove down to Miami to have the work done. Everything went well, except it got too late in the day to do the alignment and wheel balance. I drove back Monday night and went today to a big rig truck shop and they did an alignment and wheel balance. I then took it to the Dodge dealer and they re-calibrated the speedo for $43.00. The total cost to do this conversion was $4200.00 for tires, wheels, adapters, chrome hub and lug nut covers. They charged me $300.00 for the leveling kit and installation. Since I paid with cash and not a check, they did not charge state sales tax. That saved $315.00. The alignment and balance was $198.93. I will take some photos tomorrow and try to get them loaded on this site. I am really happy with the conversion. I was suprised how well the truck drove on the way home with no balance or alignment. Now it drives like it did before.

i guess ill edited by admin pictures out.

20x10 ice metal wheels. I think they are about a 25 offset, so they stick out a bit, i added fender flares but they still stick out a hair. makes it look mean, but I rather have a 45 offset wheel. good luck finding one. The tires are yokohama geolander ht/s 305/50/20. they are great tires. I have about 25,000 miles on them and they are about half worn. I had toyo proxis brore and they were down the the cords by 25,000 miles. anyways...

Bibbegum, I love the look of those rims and that hood is awesome. Could you tell me where you got your rims from?

Thanks

hahahaha. I never knew I had a stack. thats sweeeet.

my wheels are a 25 offset i think, designed for chevy 8 lugs. our trucks run a 45 or so. Thats why there are never any wheels listed for 3/4 ton 3rd gen rams.

You must have that one lowered? How big are your tires? Do they stick out much if you dont have the flares

the wheels stick out almost 3 inches from the body. The rear is lowered about 2 1/2 or 3 inches. its hard to take in all the info from each thread. kinda have to read it twice. hope this helps.
