Stock Wheel Info

Thinking about putting the stock polished aluminum wheels from my 2006 Ram 2500 4x4 onto my Chebby 2500HD 4x4. A couple of quick questions though:

1) What is the factory offset?

2) What is the factory backspacing?

3) Are these wheels cast or forged?

4) What is their load rating?

5) What do they weigh (wheel only, no tire)?

Thanks!

Like Rusty said, they both have the 8x6.5 bolt pattern. They Chebby has smaller hub bore, but can be centered with the lugs safely.

You have stock polished aluminum wheels? I only have steel wheels clad with cheap chromed plastic.

I liked the wheels on the stock Chevy much better, except of course they were only 16" and came wrapped in 245/65 (IIRC) series rubber.

Both my Dodge and Chevy factory wheels are polished Aluminum. They are both sharp, but the GM's are only 16x6.5 whereas the Dodge wheels are 17x8. The GM's are forged which is great for towing, off road and drag racing. I just need the other specs to make sure they will fit like I want them to.

1) What is the factory offset?
+43 mm

2) What is the factory backspacing?
~6.2 inches

3) Are these wheels cast or forged?
It depends on the truck. My understanding is that the Dodge truck 8 lug wheels are cast except for those that come on the Ram Big Horn edition trucks, which are forged. By the way, if you'll complete your signature with your truck's details, we'll be able to provide you with more accurate responses.

4) What is their load rating?
Don't know the wheel rating, but the stock 265/17 Michelins are rated at 3195 lbs.

5) What do they weigh (wheel only, no tire)?
I had a set of the chrome clad steel wheels and they each weighed approximately 44 lbs (with caps and lugs). I would think the aluminum wheels would be a bit lighter. I also know a factory cast aluminum wheel with the factory Michelin LTX tire (with 10/32nds of tread) weighed in at approximately 78 lbs.
