I changed my amsoil air filter(dry type)back to the stock box and intake pipe last fall and did the home depot mod on it. Well last weekend I decided to check the air filter( Hastings AF 1492) and it is filthy. It only has a little over 7000kms on it but is full of bugs and has a slight oil film on it. I never had that problem running my Amsoil filter for 4 yrs.
Has anyone else noticed that the original box and filter seem to get dirty a lot quicker than their cold air ones?

 

I can't believe no one has done a comparison and have an opinion on this.
