Steering wheel peeling

Has anyone out there had problems with there steering wheel peeling? The top layer on mine is peeling in a few places, looks like a layer of skin coming off. Is this something that DC will replace? I only have 3100 miles on my truck.

Take it back and get a new one. I had the same problem on my 03 1500 with the leather wrapped wheel. The parts department told me that the wheel cost about $800 list. Oh well , to bad for them, they replaced mine with no hassles under warranty.

you get one steering wheel replaced under the 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty. im gonna get mine replaced and put a steering wheel cover over it. BTW anyone know if there is a cummins steering wheel cover available anywhere? kinda like the dodge ones but with cummins, that would be nice..

Would they put a rubber wheel on it in place the leather? The leather is nice but for people who work with there truck they really dont stand up.

I had mine replaced after about 1 1/2 yrs. Dealer had heard of this happening from time to time, and nothing was said about not replacing it again if the new one isn't any better. Hopefully better leather this time and we won't have to go there.
