Cool sirius radio id #

i bought a used 2006 2500 ram ctd and it has sirius radio installed but not activated. it was activated when i bought it but has since been turned off by whoever was paying for it. my question is! where can i find the radio ID #. is this a factory install item or did the dealer install it? hmmmmm! i'd like to activate it and i don't want to pull the dash or overhead to find the reciever! any help out there!:

look under the rear passenger seat all the way toward the back there should be a black box, that is where the reciever is on the 05 anyway.

If you can go to channel 199 I believe it shows it there as SID #...............

well it's not under the rear seat and the radio won't let me go to any channel except 184. so i'm stuck!

The factory Sirius tuner is above the glove box. Pull out the glove box and look up. You should be able to go to the demo channel and it will show you the radio id#.

The radio will display the ESN/SID (from the Owner's Manual).

"With the ignition switch in the ACCESSORY position and the radio OFF, press the CD Eject and Time buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The first four digits of the twelve-digit ESN/SID number will be displayed. Press the SEEK UP button..."

You get the drift. All radios models are covered in the manual. If you don't have the manual, it can be downloaded from the Dodge website.
