Wiring Help

I know this has been addressed here before but I did a big search and came up with nothing. I want to find a wire under my dash that is hot only when the ignition is turned on so I can wire lites into my ride rite pressure gauge which I will mount on the dash. I have an 07.

I just installed gauges in my '06. There is a large pink wire with yellow strip you can use for 12v switched. It is located in the left corner of the firewall behind the e-brake pedal. Look in the large bundle of wires going into the large white connector. I used a wire tap and it works great.

Sounds like you already used the pink wire. If you want to connect it to the light switch, there is a orange wire with black stripe on the headlight switch that you can use and it will dim the gauge light with the rest of your gauges. Actually mine had 2 orange/black wires, the one I used is on the left side of the connector as your looking at the switch from the driver seat. If you have a volt meter you can check the wire by turning on the lights and turn the dimmer switch, the voltage should change as you move the switch.
