Seatbelt ding
OK, before I get flamed, I did try the search option for seatbelt and seat belt fix, but came up empty handed. Does anyone know how to fix that annoying DING when the seatbelt is not fastened. I use my trucks to check cows and horses during foaling and calving season, and wearing the seatbelt ALL the time is not going to be an option. Any help would be great!
BTW - This is my first post here, just bought an 05 (see signature) 1500+ miles and love it
I traded in my 2001 Ford F250 for this truck, and it was a great decision. The Ford (7.3) was junk compared to the Dodge. I did own a 98 Cummins previous to the Ford, just had to make the comparison for myself! It is good to be back in the Dodge!!
I have been lurking for a few weeks here, looks like a great forum, can't wait to share some info!

I'm in the same boat. I've tried what the owners man. says to do 15-20 times, but still got that annoying ding for 96 sec. I always wear it on the highway, but down at the farm or when I'm deer hunting I don't need it. I may take mine to the dealer and let him do it!
where the manual says at least 3 times, unbuckle and buckle exactly 3 times. get in truck buckle up, start truck, unbuckle; buckle up 3 times within 60 secs, ending with being buckled up; turn truck off. I tried with not starting the truck and it would not work. good luck

I have read other posts that say if you dont do it exactly right it may not work so give it a couple tries before you give up, I think the manual says 3 time buckle/unbuckle but, I cant remember off the top of my head..
I believe the manual says "at least three times". That's incorrect. YOu must click it exactly three times. I tried more than three several times & it didn't work. Three times does. Yes, you can plug your center belt into the buckle and turn it off. It's inconvenient for the times when you do want to use the belt. Personally, I don't care to cut wires on my (relatively) new truck when there is a clean way to accomplish the task at hand. JOIBO!
Yup, worked for me also after reading manual.
Now, if I could only get the interior lights to not stay on so long without the need to start the motor. I hate sitting inside after closing the door and having the lights stay on for what seems like forever. (like at a drive-in or something when you are not going to be driving away) Be great to be able to adjust how long you would like the lights to stay on.
