Thumbs up Removing rear spacers

I could not find if this has been covered in the search fourm, but I recently removed the rear spacers on my 03 3500 SRW CTD. This lowered the rear 1.25" an gave a more level look to the truck. I had considered raising the front with spacers, or new coils, but my truck tracks so good now I was afraid to mess with the front end. The rear will still be 1/2" taller in the rear with the spacers removed, but still gives the truck a level look. This mod took only a little over a hour with the use of a friends shop, floor jacks, an impact wrench. Good thing is there are "no" parts to purchase an it is totally reverseable with in about the same time frame. I did obtain the info from another website for this mod. Also plan in the future on getting a 5th wheel trailer an I believe this will help with clearence between the top bed rail an the front overhang of the 5th wheel.

Yep... those are them. There is 2 per side. I've removed mine as well. No ill effects came from it at all.

Thumbs up

Did the same, surprising that an inch and a quarter will make a difference in appearance, but it does look more level.

Check out this site: http://www.klenger.net/dodge/lowerin...d/slide01.html
Also, wetspirit has detailed instructions posted in January.
I moved the spacers to the top and reused the existing bolts. The ends of the bolts that go thru the spring pack are a little deformed and might need to be filed or cut off.
