Another FYI the 457cw is a waste of time and money, a 451m is alot cheaper and works just as good if not better. It comes with the resistors you'll need for trucks with or without security. I used a 457cw last week in a Jeep and ended up adding a relay to the unlock input of the 457 because the DEI brain didn't have enough current to trip the unlock circuit of the 457! I never thought I'd need to do something like that with DEI product. I've been installing professionally for 10 years now, DEI is the BEST product out there hands down. (Just not the 457cw!)

Thank you for the info. I have been installing DEI product for about 10 years also and have had no problems. But now that you have mentioned that about the 457cw, I did have a problem about a month back on a Jeep also. Maybe it was the same thing. It was a Jeep Liberty that I was having the problem with.

Most manual cars and trucks used to have them. Almost none do now. They probably use a clutch interlock similar to our trucks to trip the cruise.
