So, the guys who have had BROKEN doors -

Did you switch from outside air to recirculated air A LOT, and if so, did the blower motor stay on high when you did switch?

Lastly -

So the "new" DC fix, has anyone seen it or have it installed?

I live out in the country so I hardly us it , not much city driving in traffic jams and I very seldom put it on high . Mine heats me out on low and will freeze me out if I go past 2 clicks .
