RB 1 Navigation Radio Question
All this talk about the RB 1 Navigation radio got me thinking about a mounting question. I just ordered a RB 1 and it should be here sometime this week. My question is: I see by looking at the instructions that the antenna mounts inside the dash behind the radio. How does it receive the signal through the dash? Doesn’t it have to have a clear view of the sky? Does anyone with an RB 1 have any problems with signal strength?
I have had many GPS units but all have to have a clear view of the sky. Just curious.

Just mount under the dash. No clear line of site needed. Make sure it is secured well, because mine fell down and the GPS put my trucks location about 150 miles into the Pacific Ocean
